

At the Bowls NSW AGM Matthew Goodwin was elected to the position of State President of Bowls NSW taking over from outgoing president Vince Beard.
Matthew has served as a board director since 2018 and as Deputy director from 2019.
Matthew has also previously help positions in Zone 4 as State councillor and chairman of Zone 4 Match committee, as well as other executive positions across community sport, social and school committees over the past 30 years.
Having served as a country and regional police officer attaining commissioned rank of inspector Matthew has extensive experience in applied management and human resource management, workplace health and safety and community engagement and brought these skills in adding to keep the association and our sport safe through the cataclysmic Covid-19 year of 2020.
Matthew Goodwin stated “It is an honour to be elected President.
I look forward to carrying on the fine work of my predecessors, working with our operational committees, staff and Board of directors to further develop our sport and to the challenges and opportunities that we face in the coming year”.
