Most of NSW has water restrictions in place which could impact what a Club can do with watering of greens.
As generally, most clubs, have green renovations occurring now and over the coming months, it is critically important that each club understands its obligations under the respective levels of restrictions.
All Water Corporations are currently working with Sporting Organisations and associated groups, to ascertain requirements for each sport and the maintenance of playing fields, especially, Lawn Bowls and its bowling greens.
In the coming weeks a survey will be sent out to all sporting bodies within NSW, which will be circulated by Bowls NSW, for all clubs to complete, so that the relevant corporations can decide on the next stage and what those levels of restrictions may be and implement across affected areas.
We ask that all clubs have their Administration work with their Greenkeeper(s) in completing this survey, to ensure, that the appropriate level of restrictions are placed on our industry without impacting the current renovation season too greatly.
If you are unsure if your club is compliant to current levels of restrictions or would like to apply for exemptions, please go to the following website and click on your relevant water corporation link;
If you have any further questions regarding water restrictions in your area, please contact your local Water Corporation.
