The 2019 NSW State Pennants Finals Series enters it third day (28/7) with the field in each Grade whittled down to four sides.
The blue-riband Grade 1 competition will see Cabramatta Bull Ants and Mt Lewis Lions clash in one semi-final while Warilla Gorillas will take on Taren Point Power in the other.
Cabramatta progressed with a strong win over Wenty Leagues while Mt Lewis had a solid victory over Belrose.
Taren Point breezed past Raymond Terrace on the back of one huge rink win.
Warilla were pushed to a last end, last bowl thriller against Engadine. The Cougars, trailing by 3 looked on the brink of a miracle comeback. David Ferguson drew in for a third shot with his first bowl before Corey Wedlock nudged a Warilla bowl into the head to reduce the count to 1. Ferguson then played a cracker with his last to turn the Warilla bowl through to lay the 4 required for victory. Wedlock, however, played a great bowl to remove two from the count and leave the Gorillas a single shot victory.
