Warilla Bowls & Recreation Club is set to host the last state event for 2018 when the Bowls NSW Club Challenge Finals Series is played on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 December.
Fifty-six sides from around NSW will converge to see if they are ‘up to the challenge’ to claim the ultimate prize in each of the seven divisions being played. Each division has eight sides, playing in two pools of four. Following sectional play on Saturday, the best performed side in each pool will advance to the Grand Final.
There are three Men’s Divisions (Gold, Silver & Blue), two Mixed (Gold & Bronze) and two Women’s (Gold & Pink). The Gold Divisions are ‘open’, while the other divisions have restrictions for players eligibility. Ultimately, this format gives players from a broad range of abilities and clubs of varying sizes, the chance to claim a coveted state title.
All Grand Finals will be played at Warilla Bowls & Recreation Club. The Men’s Gold Division will be played on Saturday evening, set to kick off at 4.30PM, with the finals in all other Divisions to play on Sunday from 9.15AM.
Qualifying play on Saturday will be at seven venues, with matches being played at Warilla Bowls & Recreation Club, Albion Park Bowling Club, Bomaderry Bowling Club, Figgy Bowlo, Kiama Bowling Club, Oak Flats Bowling Club and Windang Bowling Club.
