The NSW Junior Blues were put through their paces yesterday before heading into their National Championships. The training camp was held at Cabramatta Bowling Club, the new “Home of the NSW Junior Blues.”
The junior players were not only put through a range of drills, they were also treated to presentations and on field support from NSW and Australian Jackaroos team members, Natasha Scott and Ray Pearse.
“It was a great way to open the Junior campaign and provided players with one on one chats with some of the greatest players in Australia.” Suggested NSW Team Coach Gary Willis.
He added “the opportunity to hear from a Gold Medallist in Natasha and Razor (Pearse) who just won the State Singles Championship is not only a great opportunity for the kids but a genuine reflection of players from NSW putting back into the sport.”
The event will be held at Capalaba, Queensland on the 3rd – 5th October and Bowls NSW wish the side every success.
